Because nothing will ever replace the experience of being in the same room with the parties, replicating in-person mediation is paramount. The mediator needs to know their video conferencing platform will deliver that experience.

ANSWER:
Yes, to all of your questions. In the File Share function, the person that uploads the file(s) decides who it will be shared with (also giving them permission to download it), and who can view it only. The owner of the file may also rescind any of these permissions at any time.
QUESTION:
Does the mediator/host have the ability to regulate the volume for others in the mediation? I am specifically thinking about elderly people that may be a little technologically-limited.
ANSWER:
Actually, each participate controls their individual volume on their device. Likewise, each participant can mute their microphone and camera when needed. The mediator - like a host in any videoconferencing platform - controls the accessibility or permissions to each of the functions in MediationSuites™.

QUESTION:
What happens to the documents or files shared/used during a mediation once mediation is concluded?
ANSWER:
Once the mediation session is concluded, the mediator and parties will have the option to download any files shared with them during the session. Regardless, once the mediation session is fully concluded, all files and records will be permanently deleted and removed from the MediationSuites™ mediation server. In the event a mediation is continued to another day, the mediator would follow another procedure to temporarily suspend the session so they and the parties can return at the appointed date and time. In this case, the session would be locked, and only parties with prior access could join, with the documents and files intact.
